The former backing dancer, who has two sons with Spears, set up Gooseneck Production Inc, for the release of his flop 2006 album Playing With Fire. The company also handles any appearance fees Federline receives.
But it seems Federline's stint in the spotlight since he married Spears in 2004 hasn't been as lucrative as he expected, and he has fallen behind in his tax payments to the U.S. government.
According to records, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is seeking $14,371 (£9,580) from the company after filing documents at the Los Angeles County Recorder of Deeds office in May (09).
