Scheana Marie, a cocktail waitress and part-time actress, claims to have romanced Mayer after meeting the musician in a bar.

And the 23-year-old has been making the most of her links to the star, recently telling reporters that Mayer is "funny and sweet," and boasting he has "nice lips".

But despite the rocker distancing himself from Marie, with pals insisting the pair is "not in contact at all", she claims to have an insight into his emotional state - revealing he is still "pining" for Aniston.

She tells Britain's Heat magazine, "'He really didn't think Jen would dump him - it was a complete shock to him.

"He's never really got over it and he still talks about her a lot. He's been playing guitar alone at night, pining over her."
