U2 closed down a New York university on Friday (06Mar09) morning to play a live televised gig for students and staff - New York City, USA - 06.03.09

The lead singer has considered reworking and re-releasing the band's debut album Boy, which they rushed to complete because they "couldn't afford another hour" in the studio.

And listening back to the 1980 disc, the star still feels embarrassed by the "phony English accent" he used.

He explains, "I would love to sing that album again and finish that."
