John Ritchie is still smarting from the 2008 break-up but he insists his moviemaker son is better off without his ex.

He tells In Touch magazine, "The worst thing would be if they reconciled... We hope she (Madonna) does have a lot of boyfriends because it means she won't ever get back together with Guy."
