The Seinfeld creator and Curb Your Enthusiasm star is close friends with the Hollywood couple and he has turned their Massachusetts residence into his sanctuary.

Steenburgen tells WENN, "Larry is my buddy. He's gonna be in my guest house all summer on Martha's Vineyard.

"We call him Larry The Lodger because once he gets in there he won't get out."

David's wife Laurie filed for divorce a year ago (Jul07).
