GRETCHEN WILSON

The Redneck Woman hitmaker dropped out of school in the ninth grade when she was 14, and only passed her General Educational Development test last month (Apr08).

Daniels jumped at the chance to honour Wilson when he learned she was a lifelong fan of his music.

Wilson has dedicated her GED diploma to her seven-year-old daughter Grace.

She says, "I certainly don't want her (Grace) to think you can be this successful without an education."
