Lapine sued Seinfeld and her comedian husband Jerry earlier this year (Jan08) for copyright infringement and defamation.

Lapine claimed the recipes in Jessica Seinfeld's best selling cookbook Deceptively Delicious are "brazenly plagiarised" from those in her own book, The Sneaky Chef: Simple Strategies For Hiding Healthy Foods In Kids' Favourite Meals.

But the 36-year-old insists she values her work too much to plagiarise someone else's ideas.

She says, "It's so far from anything I would consider doing! I am literally a workaholic. Why would I consider doing something to take the pleasure out of work for me? This is something that happened in my home. This is how I take care of my family... I believe in karma."
