Family and close friends gathered in Pacific Palisades, California, to honour the Ben Hur star, who died last weekend (05Apr08), aged 84.

Other guests in attendance at the two-hour service included actors Tom Selleck and Olivia DeHavilland, singer Pat Boone and directors Oliver Stone and Rob Reiner.
