The couple, who have four children together, divorced in 1999 after she learned about Jagger's longterm affair and subsequent lovechild while married to the Texan beauty.

But the 51-year-old admits her feelings for the veteran rocker continue - albeit in a platonic way - despite his adultery.

She says, "When you have four children together, you're always going to have a connection. I still love him. But it's a different kind of love now. It's a platonic love.

"I honestly think you are only meant to be with someone for a certain period of your life. You love that person but then you move on.

"That's what happened with Mick. And I truly believe that is was never meant to be forever. And I still strongly believe in love."
