The Monster In Law star, 70, was attending the Women's Reproductive Rights Assistance Project event at the Sunset Plaza Hotel at the weekend (19-20Jan08) when she arrived without any assistants and then insisted on helping conference workers to set up the room for the event.

Fellow hotel guest Edward Bale says, "Miss Fonda drove herself here in her own car, and got stuck in - no airs or graces. I told her we had staff to do all the heavy work, but she just winked, rolled up her sleeves and carried on."
