In an attack on British reality TV shows such as The X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing, Mason claims the lack of talent harboured by manufactured performers only makes other musicians look good.

He says, "Fortunately, thanks to these reality TV shows, we appear to be hard-working, sober citizens who really deserve everything we get, compared to all these Johnny-come-latelys who pitch up and do nothing and get paid."
