The couple split earlier this year (07) and the French actor has been demonised for moving on to Israeli model Sarai Givaty, but Minogue insists Martinez is not a bad guy.

Speaking candidly to the Sydney Daily Telegraph, the pop star insists her ex never cheated on her, despite reports to the contrary, and he was nothing but a great boyfriend.

She says, "Olivier brought me love, understanding, patience, laughter - all those great things. I couldn't have asked for any more support. And I'll be forever grateful to him for that."

Minogue also reveals that distance and work schedules drove the couple apart, but adds, "With Olivier, there is definitely still a love and respect. It's so important to have that."

Adding her life is full of love, the currently single singer insists she owes her happiness to all her exes: "I have spent too much time single, so relationships have had a place in my life. They are all experiences - good and bad."
