Ray Winstone as Beowulf and Sir Anthony Hopkins as King Hrothgar in 'Beowulf'

The star had no prior knowledge of the original English poem, on which the movie is based, and didn't even read the script before agreeing to appear in the film. He only took the time to look at his own lines.

He says, "I never read the book. The script is good but I have to admit I only read part of it - I only read my part."
