Director Mira Nair and Tabu on the set of 'THE NAMESAKE'
The Indian director was forced to rethink scenes featuring the wonder of the world site - because the religious minds who oversee all filming at the Taj Mahal refused to shut down any part of the tourist attraction, and gave her an all-access pass for just a day.
Nair says, "The challenge was to get there, suss out the shots and then to design them and execute them and direct them.
"We had to do all that and finish by sundown in a public place we could not control."
