The Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman star was hosting the Tournament of Roses parade in Pasadena, California in 1993 when she suffered a miscarriage.

She tells U.S. news show Entertainment Tonight, "I actually lost a pregnancy live on television, announcing the Rose Parade, but nobody knew at the time.

"I think that was pretty horrendous. Maybe I shouldn't be doing live television."
