PAVAROTTI 'FORCED TO ALTER WILL?'
Opera legend LUCIANO PAVAROTTI could have been coerced into signing away his $24 million (GBP12 million) American fortune, it has been claimed.

The will, which he changed six weeks before his death aged 71, sees all Pavarotti's U.S. estate go to second wife Nicoletta Mantovani, 38.

But an investigation sparked by a magazine interview given by Italian legal Luciano Buonanno, who met Pavarotti at his home near Modena, Italy, in July (07), questions the Italian tenor's mindset at the time of the re-write.

Buonanno claims Pavarotti got the impression he did not really know what he had signed - and every time he tried to raise questions his lawyers would intervene.

He adds, "One thing I remember is how cold the lady of the house (Nicoletta) was. She appeared very nervous."

The star's lawyer Terri Robson says, "He was a very intelligent man and knew exactly what he was doing in these decisions."
