The 50-year-old - who plays sexpot Samantha Jones in the hit TV series and upcoming movie adaptation - is desperate to play a strait-laced character, but fears her time on Sex and the City may have jeopardised that.

She says, "Nobody's really interested in getting to know me. I feel jealous of Samantha because I feel like maybe I might be quite funny or interesting if given the chance."
