The Grease star - a certified pilot - is desperate to fly the reformed five-piece over the Atlantic when they kick off their tour in Canada on 2 December.

And the 53-year-old approves of the girl band's choice of transport - a Boeing 707-138 airliner.

He says, "It sounds like an amazing plane. They don't do things by halves.

"I've been flying since 1974 when I earned my wings. Every cent of my paychecks went to flying lessons."

Hip-hop star Sean 'Diddy' Combs has donated a $8 million (GBP4 million) fleet of buses to help transport Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Melanie Chisholm, Emma Bunton and Melanie Brown around the globe.
