Lucas found out Hayek had given birth to Valentina Paloma Pinault, her first child with fiance Francois Henri-Pinault, on Friday (21Sep07) when the actress sent him a text message.

And the American Psycho star is certain Hayek will revel in her new role as a mother.

He tells People.com, "She will be a doting and loving mother. The way she is with her dogs, I can't even imagine what she'll be like with her kid."
