TRACEY EDMONDS and EDDIE MURPHY

The funnyman's fiancee, Tracey Edmonds, admits wedding plans are underway, but the film producer has no plans to repeat her lavish 1992 wedding ceremony when she and singer/songwriter Kenneth 'Babyface' Edmonds exchanged vows.

Edmonds tells the October (07) issue of Sister 2 Sister magazine that she envisions "a very intimate ceremony," adding, "My bridal party would be much smaller than my first wedding."

But it will still be a costly affair if she gets her way - because she's looking to become Mrs. Murphy in "a romantic, secluded spot outside the United States".

Murphy proposed to Edmonds in July (07), while the two were watching TV. She reveals he walked over to her casually, and then surprised her by getting on his knees.

She asked him what he was doing and he replied, "I'm about to ask you to marry me," before he presented her with a canary yellow square diamond, surrounded by two white diamonds in a platinum setting.

She recalls, "I was speechless for a moment when I first saw it." Modest Edmonds admits she has no idea how much her engagement ring cost her man.
