The star, who married schoolteacher Fentress in 1997, announced his wife's pregnancy on a U.S. TV show on Wednesday (01Aug07).

When asked by Today host Ann Curry about the couple's four children, O'Donnell replied, "Another on the way," before high-fiving the presenter.

He explained, "Yeah, we're just starting to figure out how it works. I think I know why this is happening, but we're really excited about it."

O'Donnell and Fentress are already parents to Lily, Chip, Charlie and Finley.
