Felicity Huffman at the 58th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium. Los Angeles, California - 27.08.06
Lynette has been transformed into a glamorous career woman for the latest series. But Huffman preferred her character's original image, because it addressed the everyday problems parenting brings.
Huffman says, "I wanted an example of motherhood that addressed the madness, the depression, the rage, the loss, the wonder and the love.
"I do regret we've moved on from that because it's so true - and there aren't many examples of it on TV.
"But I think a year of playing an overwhelmed mother is enough."
