Reports suggested former Baptist preacher Joe contacted weekly publications such as In Touch and OK!, offering them the chance for the magazines to appear in Jessica's forthcoming film BLONDE AMBITION.

A source tells the New York Daily News, "One scene calls for her character to be reading a celebrity tabloid. Joe Simpson has been calling around the weeklies, saying for $10,000, he'll put a copy of their magazine in her hands. Cheque to be made out directly to Joe."

However, the Simpsons' spokeswoman says, "There is no truth to the story. Joe is a producer on the movie, but there is a product- placement company (involved) and there is no money deal."
