LATEST: Opera star ANDREA BOCELLI thrilled newlyweds TOM CRUISE and KATIE HOLMES at their nuptials in his native Italy on Saturday (18NOV06) by deciding to perform at the last minute.

The blind singer turned down an offer to perform at the Braggiano wedding last week (ends17NOV06), insisting he'd only be at the Castello Odescalchi event as a guest.

But he couldn't resist serenading the couple and their guests with a special performance.
