Phil Donahue at the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Inaugural Double Helix Medals Gala held at the Mandarin Oriental. New York City, USA - 09.11.06
Donahue spent 27 years in front of the camera, hosting the famed show.
He tells American publication Star, "I am financing my own movie. I am producing and co-directing a documentary entitled BODY OF WAR.
"It is about a young man from Kansas City (Missouri) named THOMAS who was shot and paralysed from the chest down while fighting in Iraq. You see his life after the war."
Although Donahue doesn't know when the film will be released he adds, "All of the proceeds will go toward the young man and his family."
