Frontman Kapranos worked as a chef in a Scottish restaurant several years ago, and would always discuss his plan to form a band with bassist Hardy during breaks.

The TAKE ME OUT singer says, "I had some of the best moments of my life, just having a laugh in the kitchen.

"It was really hard work but during prep time Bob and I would listen to music and I think in a way that's where a lot of the ideas for Franz Ferdinand were formed."
