Manilow attended the Emmys in Los Angeles, where he won the Best Individual Performance In A Variety Or Comedy for BARRY MANILOW: MUSIC AND PASSION.

And the superstitious star took the award with him into surgery.

He tells US TV show ACCESS HOLLYWOOD, "I brought my Emmy into the operating room as a good luck charm. I stuck it on my chest and said (to the doctors), 'Let's go!'"
