Singer LeTOYA LUCKETT has defended BEYONCE KNOWLES, insisting her former DESTINY'S CHILD colleague didn't deliberately sabotage the release of her debut solo album.

Luckett, who left Destiny's Child in 2000, has read reports that Knowles preordered her B'DAY album in order to dent the sales of Luckett's debut album LeTOYA.

But Luckett is convinced Knowles already has so many fans, she wouldn't need to resort to dirty tactics.

She says, "I don't know what happened there and I hope nobody had any bad intentions for me. I don't think Beyonce would need to sabotage my album as she has her own fans.

"I did see her a few months back at a show in Atlanta when TORN was released. She told me I sounded good, she congratulated me and said she was proud."
