Director BRYAN SINGER directs KATE BOSWORTH (Lois Lane) and BRANDON ROUTH (Superman) for a scene in 'Superman Returns'

US gay magazine Advocate is calling for the superhero to come out of the closet in their recent issue titled 'How Gay Is Superman?'

But Singer says, "He's pretty straight. He's Superman."

While Bosworth scoffs, "I play his love interest so I think that's probably pretty ridiculous."
