Dixie Chicks arriving for the David Letterman Show. New York City, USA - 22.05.06
The girls have pulled the plug on one show in Memphis, Tennessee due to poor ticket sales, but they insist they'll perform where fans want to see them.
Fans in America's southern states have been slow to buy tickets for tour stops in their area due to ongoing bad feeling about anti-war comments singer NATALIE MAINES made about PRESIDENT GEORGE W BUSH during a concert in London in 2003.
In the website posting the trio writes, "Any reports being made about the cancellation of our upcoming Accidents + Accusations tour are completely false.
"We have known since March 2003 that our path in this business would have obstacles at every pass... Things don't come as easy as they might have come in the past, and it makes each accomplishment more exciting and appreciated."
A spokesperson for the group tells website CMT.com that some dates on the tour are being re-routed, based on market sales.
While a Memphis date seems to have been cancelled, the group's 28 October (06) gig in Toronto, Canada sold out in just eight minutes, and a second show has been added.
