Denise Richards and Heather Locklear

The former BOND girl has rushed to media outlets in America to defend herself against accusations she caused Locklear and Sambora's marriage to collapse shortly after leaving her husband CHARLIE SHEEN.

Richards insists the portrayal of her as a home wrecker is unfair and she never romanced BON JOVI star Sambora when he was married to her former friend.

Speaking exclusively to TMZ.com, the actress says, "I wish Heather well and happiness and it's really unfortunate that it's gotten to this point and Heather knows why we aren't friends.

"I don't want to get into all of that, but I wish her well and she knows that there was nothing that happened during either marriage and unfortunately our friendship had to dissolve."

Richards has recently been photographed kissing and cuddling Sambora, and reports claim she has been invited to join the rocker and his band when they tour Europe this summer (06).

Meanwhile, the actress faces a court showdown with Sheen later this month (18MAY06) after filing fresh divorce papers last month (APR06), in which she claimed her husband was obsessed with gambling and internet porn throughout their marriage and threatened her life and that of her parents if she went public with the extent of his problems. She was granted a temporary restraining order.
