When the star's seven-year-old son appeared in church, the actor used the opportunity to spy on his young offspring.

He explains, "They do it (confession) on the altar and I filmed it.

"I zoomed in on his lips. I'm missing a (golf) putter and I want to know where it is and he says he has nothing to do with it.

"I have a six-year-old nephew and he lives in New York. This is New York for you - for Lent my six-year-old nephew gave up cursing.

He adds jokingly, "And it's working, but he's smoking more."
