Simpson has already met with the movie's producers, although she admits she hasn't won the role yet.

She tells MTV, "That would be an honour for me. I'm a Texas girl, so you can't go wrong there.

"However it all works out, I'm just kind of going with the flow. One day at a time."

Last month (MAR06), CHARLENE TILTON, who played Ewing in the 1980s television series, said she believed 25-year-old Simpson is too old for the part.
