Tilton, who played the blonde man-eater in the hit 1980s show, feels Simpson is too old to play the role she believes would suit LINDSAY LOHAN perfectly.

The feature film adaptation is set to hit cinemas in the next two years, but the youngest member of the Ewing clan has yet to be cast.

Hollywood stars rumoured to be considered for the plum part include Simpson, Lohan and US reality TV star KRISTIN CAVALLARI, who is reportedly dating Simpson's ex-husband NICK LACHEY.

But Tilton has her sights fixed: "Jessica is beautiful but too old. I had just turned 17 when we started filming. It's more exciting if Lucy is doing all these things... out of high school. (Lindsay Lohan) is a great choice."
