Coulier was the Canadian singer's first love and rumours have continually linked him to the famously sour break-up anthem.

He says, "I never said that song was about me. The press made it out to be a bigger deal than it was.

"We (Coulier and Morissette) laughed about it."

The actor admits that he has no hard feelings toward his ex-girlfriend, who is now engaged to VAN WILDER star RYAN REYNOLDS.

He adds, "Alanis is a phenomenal person. Really one of the best people I've ever known."
