The devotee handed Kim, real name KIMBERLY JONES, a scribbled note as she left a hotel in the days before her perjury and conspiracy sentence began in Pennsylvania last September (05).

Lil' Kim was so touched, she called the fan on her phone as she drove away.

The moment was captured for Kim's new documentary, COUNTDOWN TO LOCKDOWN, which debuted last night (09MAR06) in the US.

In the documentary footage, the rapper says, "I was so touched by that letter that I did something that I've probably never done before - as soon as I got the number from the kids I called them.

"It was just a great feeling to know how much my fans love me. Without them there really would be no me."
