Canadian director Cronenberg most recent film “A History of Violence”, all the actors that worked for him had high reviews. Many say Cronenberg is one of the best film- makers. Cronenberg makes his films with grace, precision and looks like no effort. He really is a genius. Many actors love to work with him because he knows what he wants and shares his vision with his crew. One might feel like you just joined a family, even if it is for a couple of months. Even though this particular film has lots of violence and graphic details—Cronenberg’s opinion is that all nations have some sort of past violence, this film is discovering why people are violent towards one another. Cronenberg also allows his actors to make suggestions in changing something in the movie, so that they feel they are heard and appreciated. Ed Harris and Viggo Mortensen are just some of the great actors in Cronenberg’s “A History of Violence”.
