Schwartzman brags about Sofia, 'she is an amazing director because she has a way of focusing on each actor as a person and how to help bring out their strengths in their roles. She is very specific in her instructions for each individual but has great empathy if someone does not understand. Schwartzman feels lucky to have known her for so long that he understands exactly what she wants while directing her films. Yet Sofia is very soft. Not soft like someone could push her around but sturdy. “Marie Antoinette” was filmed France and when Jason arrived with Sofia, he was a bit nervous but Coppola was serene.
