Jerry Lewis has done hundreds of telethons in the past to raise money for his kids with muscular dystrophy. So he thought what a great idea for the victims from the hurricane Katrina. Lewis was horrified the footage he saw of the victims that are suffering in New Orleans. He even cried for all the survivors. If the donations are low as only 20 dollars that is wonderful, every little bit helps. All donations will be sent to Salvation Army for Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. This is not the only benefit for helping hurricane Katrina survivors, there will also be concerts and other shows from celebrities to offer their help. Jerry Lewis has been doing telethons for over 40 years and used more than 200 TV stations. Just last year the telethons raised almost $60 million. He has high hopes for this telethon as well. His telethon will be held Beverly Hills Hotel, Sunday starting around 9 p.m. Eastern Standard Time and ends Monday at 5:30 p.m.
