SMITH'S SHOCK AT FAN'S TATTOO TRIBUTE

Filmmaker KEVIN SMITH is still in shock over a superfan who stripped down to his underwear and asked him for an autograph - so he could have the director's signature tattooed on his bum.

The Clerks director was stunned when the devotee dashed up to him at an event and asked him to sign his arm, so he could have the scribble tattooed.

Smith's refusal only made the fan more desperate and so the moviemaker had to sign his backside.

The director remembers, "The guy in the audience was like, 'Will you sign my arm? I'm going to have it (your name) tattooed there.' (I said) 'Don't put my name on your arm! Number one, you're a guy and that's just weird. They're just movies and what if one day you wake up and you're like, 'I hate Clerks,' and then you've got my name on your arm?'"

"Then he came up and he pulled his pants down... I signed it (bum). Outside of the theatre was a tattoo parlour... the dude went in there and was like can you put that on my butt permanently?"
