ROGER DALTREY wants to die onstage.

The ageing rocker admits he occasionally thinks about death and he can't think of a better way to go out than fronting The Who.
He tells Britain's Uncut magazine, "To me, a musical note is the meaning of life. We're not giving up. I mean, as well as being a backdrop for people living, we might as well be a backdrop for people dying.
"We've all got to go at some point. I'd like to go to the scream of Won't Get Fooled Again! And I suppose a lot of people would say: 'Yeah, and I'd like to f**king be there when it happens!'"
Daltrey and Pete Townshend are the only existing originals in the group - both drummer Keith Moon and bass player John Entwistle have died.
