MADONNA GETS THE SABBATH STARTED WITH NETANYAHU

MADONNA celebrated the Jewish Sabbath on Friday (04Sep09) by joining Israeli Prime Minister BENJAMIN NETANYAHU and his family for a lighting and blessing ceremony.

The pop star, who is in the Middle East following concerts in Israel, joined the nation's leader for the traditional Friday evening ritual.

Madonna, who is a follower of Judaism offshoot Kabbalah, reportedly spent two hours at the Prime Minister's home, lighting candles and delivering blessings.
