WINEHOUSE 'TO SUE EX MOTHER-IN-LAW' OVER SOLD LOVE LETTERS

AMY WINEHOUSE is reportedly set to sue her former mother-in-law for copyright infringement - after she sold the singer's love letters to ex BLAKE FIELDER-CIVIL to a British tabloid.

The Back To Black star is allegedly compiling a case against her ex-husband's mother Georgette after she allowed intimate letters to be published in the press last year (08) while her son was in jail for perverting the course of justice in relation to an attack on a pub landlord in 2007.

At the time, Georgette Civil told reporters that her son was planning to use the letters as part of his divorce case against the star - to prove how important he was to the singer.

Fielder-Civil subsequently received a settlement when the divorce was finalised in July (09).

Now, Winehouse is set to file suit against her former extended family by taking Georgette to court on copyright infringement charges - and wants $75,000 (£50,000) in damages, according to Britain's The Sun newspaper.

A source tells the publication, "Amy was furious the private letter was used to make money."

Winehouse's father Mitch warned Georgette Civil earlier this year (09) that he was considering suing her, claiming that she had threatened his family and waged an 18-month hate campaign against him.
