The producers of PARIS HILTON's 2006 film flop PLEDGE THIS have been given until 26 August (09) to prove the socialite owes them cash.
Paris Hilton arrived at the Ferguson U.S. Courthouse in downtown Miami to testify against allegations she failed to adequately promote her 2006 movie 'Pledge This!'. Miami, Florida - 10.07.09
The bosses of Worldwide Entertainment Group sued Hilton and her company, Paris Hilton Entertainment, for breach of contract, claiming she failed to properly promote the film.
And they wanted Hilton to pay back the $1 million (£666,600) she was paid.
During a two-day trial in Miami, Florida, Hilton testified she did her best to promote the movie, and U.S. District Judge Federico Moreno agreed, stating the movie was "hardly destined for critical acclaim".
He added, "Any causal connection between Ms. Hilton's alleged breaches and the financial ruin of the film are wholly speculative."
A receiver representing the producers have been given until 26 August (09) to submit arguments that Hilton should pay back parts of her $1 million fee.
