JACKSON'S NUMBER ONES IS AMERICA'S NUMBER TWO BESTSELLER OF 2009

MICHAEL JACKSON's hits compilation NUMBER ONES remains America's top-selling album and has become the second biggest release of 2009.

Jackson has ruled the U.S. charts since his death in June (09), and though his albums are ineligible for the mainstream Billboard countdown, he's still the King of Pop.

His Number Ones album sold 114,000 copies last week - 15,000 more than rapper Fabolous, who debuts Loso's Way at the top of the Billboard 200.

The hits compilation, which has dominated the Top Comprehensive Albums chart since the pop icon's death, has now sold over 1.3 million units this year - almost 200,000 behind 2009's bestseller, Taylor Swift's Fearless.

Number Ones has been America's best-selling album for five of the past six weeks. Only rockers Daughtry's impressive 269,000 debut of Leave This Town could top it.

Meanwhile, Loso's Way is Fabolous' first number one album.

Daughtry's Leave This Town holds firm at number two on the new countdown and Maxwell's BLACKsummers'night stays put at three.

Last week's U.S. chart-topper, Here We Go Again by Demi Lovato, slips to eight.
