Movie star WILL SMITH has struck up an unlikely friendship with Italy's top soccer stars after discovering he's sharing a hotel with Lazio players in Beijing, China.

Smith and his family are in China filming the remake of The Karate Kid, which stars his son Jaden, and the soccer stars are in Beijing for their Italian Supercup Match at the city's National Stadium on Saturday (08Aug09).
The Men In Black star and his soccer-mad eldest son Trey have been invited to attend the big game between Lazio and Inter by his hotel suite neighbours and superstars Tommaso Rocchi and Julio Cruz have handed the Hollywood icon team shirts to wear to the match.
Smith is a longtime soccer watcher and recently asked LA Galaxy and England midfielder David Beckham to give him playing tips.
