JACKSON'S LAWYERS ATTEMPT TO PROTECT MERCHANDISE
Lawyers for MICHAEL JACKSON are bidding to ban the sale of unofficial King Of Pop merchandise - because the trade is potentially worth millions of dollars.
Thirty pieces of Michael Jackson memorabilia are being exhibited at the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square.

After his death on 25 June (09), sales of Jackson's music and merchandise rocketed, and internet websites began hawking products branded with his name and image.
Now Jackson's legal team has filed papers in Los Angeles asking a judge to approve an agreement with merchandising company Bravado International which would give them the authority to prevent the sale of unauthorised memorabilia, according to TMZ.com.
Jackson's lawyers expect monetary amounts from merchandising and other Jackson-related items would be in the "high eight figures".
The documents also show the administrators of Jackson's estate have collected "millions of dollars of tangible personal property throughout the country, including memorabilia and art."
