NURSE: 'JACKSON SHOULD HAVE TURNED OFF LIGHTS AND MUSIC AT NIGHT'

MICHAEL JACKSON's former nurse has revealed what kept the King of Pop awake at night - music and lights.

Medic Sherilyn Lee used to watch over Jackson as he slept after the singer begged her to help him get some rest - and she quickly figured out why he was tired all the time.

She claims the pop superstar's love of caffeinated soda and the music he'd pump through his house at all hours may have wrecked his sleeping patterns. She also suggested Jackson dim the lights in the bedroom of his rented Holmby Hills home in Los Angeles.

But Jacko, who was sleeping for just three hours a night, insisted he needed medical help to doze - and asked Lee to administer dangerous drug Diprivan.

Reports suggest one powerful anaesthetic he used to help him sleep was the cause of his death on 25 June (09).

Lee says, "He was extremely tired and... he said, 'I want something'."

The nurse claims he asked her to give him Diprivan, a powerful propofol anaesthetic she had never heard of. She refused.

She says, "I said, 'This is a very serious medication... You keep telling me you wanna be knocked out to go to sleep. The problem is... you might not wake up."

When Lee refused to help, Jackson asked her to find him someone, adding, "I will pay them whatever they want."

She received a message from Jackson just four days before his death, explaining that half the King of Pop's body was cold and half was hot, but she was too busy with other clients to attend to her former employee.

She recalls, "Something was totally off and I didn't know exactly what. I said, 'You have to go to the hospital'."
