The group scored a record breaking 17 successive weeks at the top of the U.S. pop charts last week after I Gotta Feeling claimed a fifth week at number one and now the same song has toppled JLS' Beat Again.
Meanwhile, on the U.K. album chart, Michael Jackson spends a sixth successive week at number one - longer than any other artist in 2009. His hits album The Essential is the best-selling artist album of the year in Britain.
Jackson has nine albums in the new Top 50.
