JACKSON MEMORIAL INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED
Los Angeles authorities are investigating the taxpayers money spent on MICHAEL JACKSON's memorial service.

The 7 July (09) ceremony at the city's Staples Center cost $1.4 million (£934,000), much of which was spent on the heavy security required to handle the thousands of fans who flocked to the city to pay their last respects to the King of Pop.
Council officials suspect some of that money may have been misappropriated and City Attorney Carmen Trutanich has asked for a probe.
According to the Associated Press, witnesses already interviewed have provided evidence which "raises both civil and criminal aspects".
